where should I eat next?
I want to know your favorite restaurant in New York, the place that feels like it’s too good to be true. I want to know where you had the best shawarma of your life, where you tried a wine from a country you can’t find on a map, where everybody knows your name. Or someone else’s name, at least.
I want to be surprised—I want to walk on a street I’ve never been on before—I want to take a ferry or a shuttle, an express bus around the Belt Parkway—I want to eat every inch of New York before I die and I will die happy knowing it’s an impossible task. It’s maudlin, but it’s true. Sue me.
Basically: If you were the arbiter of the definition of it, of which restaurants just have that special thing, that divine source of something good—where would you send me?
